Council Tax Discount

I'm looking at buying a small B&B, officially registered as a mixed use property (3 bedrooms are registered for business rates, and 1 'suite' is registered as the owners private accommodation). The 3 letting rooms are valued well below the Business Rates threshold, so no Business Rates are payable - only regular council tax. Therefore, My question is, as I would be the ONLY person living there as my primary address, would I still qualify for the 25% single person council tax discount?

I think you would still qualify for SPD, but if it is a deal breaker, would suggest you check with the relevant council before purchaseIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
