Have yet to find a heated throw that would be recommended with a 25kg dog parked on top.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.6 -
i was thinking when i read this if you'd looked at heated dog beds? some of them are very large (the same size as our sofa throw at 170cm) and are little more than a quilted blanket. might be a bit weird to have one on your lap i don't know. might depend on how stiff they are or if they have backing fabric? but we've had dog blankets on the sofa and bed before now and to be honest ive not really noticed the difference between them and human blankets (they're slightly stiffer because they're water proof so have a middle later of something like gortex but when you're snuggled up you don't really notice).elsien said:Have yet to find a heated throw that would be recommended with a 25kg dog parked on top.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

Would you need one... Dog would keep you warm 🤣elsien said:Have yet to find a heated throw that would be recommended with a 25kg dog parked on top.Life in the slow lane2 -
My 25kg dog shakes and shivers at the first sign of a breeze - he burrows under my duvet and gets hair all over the sheets, a heated throw would be for the pair of us! He might stay downstairs with me then and not retire to the bedroom when he gets chilly!born_again said:

I spotted a BNWT heated throw / overblanket in a chazzer this weekend and plan to make good use of it this winter. I have an electric under-blanket which I found in a chazzer earlier this year (again BNWT, £10) and that made nights far more comfortable. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.2 -
that's a point. you don't need a blanket that can take a dog on top if the dog is under the blanketMuppet_194 said:

We have a heated foot mat, its about 2ft by 18 inches. We put the dog blanket on top of this, and our sausage dog would curl up on top of it when it was cold. It used to get really warm underneath him.elsien said:Have yet to find a heated throw that would be recommended with a 25kg dog parked on top.
it was from the middle of one of the 2 budget supermarkets, cant remember which.1 -
We have one; luckily it has "his and hers" sides as I never use mine, but my wife loves it. It is handy though as in the past we haven't really had to heat the upstairs much, if at all.
If she keeps her side on too long it wakes me up though! I have to be cold to sleep.0 -
My husband bought me a heated throw for my birthday last year, i was a little confused when i unwrapped it but I quickly learned to love it. In the winter it follows me around the house haha.
We just debated buying a big one for the bed so we could both use it as mine is a bit small for 2 people, but we've decided instead to just get a second one the same size as mine, that way my husband can use it the same way I use mine and carry it around the house. if we had a big double i think it would be too big to sit in the office with etc. Also he doesn't like things as warm as i do, so by having one each on the bed i can use mine on a higher setting.
The heated throws are a big part of this winters efforts to keep the costs down.- May 2021 Grocery Challenge : £198.72 spent / £300 Budget

We have a fitted sheet style one on the bed, and a throw that stays downstairs. The fitted sheet style one has a his and hers side. Mrs NM likes to sleep at about gasmark 5, and has it blasting, I normally have my side switched off. The fitted sheet style stops it moving around under the sheet, which is something i find really annoying.Happy_Sloth said:My husband bought me a heated throw for my birthday last year, i was a little confused when i unwrapped it but I quickly learned to love it.
