So I fixed my energy to a capped rate until Nov 2023. At the time I listened to Martin he said stick with variable. So during the cooling off period I switched back to variable had emails confirming all good.
I look at my recent bill to see that my electric is still on fixed nov 2023 but gas is variable.
Now the fixed is of course preferable but should I inform them as I don't want an even huger bill later on....

Why don't you just phone them to check your tariff. Don't mention you think it's wrong
Just call up and enquire as you want to budget properly and want confirmation of the rates. Play a bit ignorant on it and not like you know.
If they confirm your fixed rate then happy days you can always then have a chat about checking just the gas went back to variable rate to further check
Their calls will be recorded and you can also document it incase you have issues later down the line.2 -
Yeah I was just avoiding the long wait to get through bit of a nightmare last time I tried.
I'm thinking I might shoot myself in the foot if it all has to revert back to variable but then again I'll be in a worse position if I ignored and they change or....better if the put it all on 2023!!
