Solar Panel - is now the time to invest

Installed my own second-hand solar panels on the garage roof for £1000 as mostly an experiment and to learn more about solar.Later I added a 5 kWh battery set for £1300 as I noticed it seems to wasting quite a bit of the generated power some days. Not tied into the mains (I have to switch over to it) and not the most efficient setup agreed, house roof would be far better, but its sufficient for my home office.Considered charging the battery at night on a cheap tariff, but doesn't seem worth it with current non-EV tariffs.0
