Govt or local council grants / schemes - not on benefits for solar & boiler

Does anyone know of any government schemes or grants or anything from Manchester local council for getting Solar installed and a replacement boiler?
Im a single person homeowner and work full time so i dont qualify for any of the edco bits as im not receiving any benefits but its not like im rich and have a lot of disposable income to afford to replace an ageing boiler 20+ years and to see about reducing electricity bills with Solar, im not bothered about selling back just with a battery for my own use.

Why don't you look on your LA's website for info about any local schemes?
Battery storage for solar PV is very expensive, and the FIT's rates are a fraction of the supply cost now.No free lunch, and no free laptop
