Virgin Money cashback on spending with the app

Has anyone tried this ?
I got an email about it today (I have the MPlus current account and savings account).
It has very little info, you have to sign up with the app before finding anything out.
So I find it annoying that (a) I can't do it online, only by app which is discriminating in my view (but way of the world now it seems, run by youngsters); and (b) I can't find out what cashback offers are available until signing up, so how can I judge if it's worth it? Just another way to force you onto the app !
Any information would be gratefully received.

I find the Virgin cashback as useful as the Santander, the Barclays and the Halifax ones - all of which are about as useful as a chocolate teapot to me. Your mileage may vary as it obviously depends on where and how much you shop. Of the current approx 30 Virgin offers I can see, there are 2 I could potentially use but in practice I don't see any need to buy anything from them in the foreseeable future.
To give you an idea, these are the retailers I can see currently. Many come with conditions - e.g. 1st purchase only, max amount (which is low). minimum purchase amount etc

Percentages vary from 2% to 30%, some are fixed amounts. Some are online only, some in-store only.
Note these are allegedly personalised offers - though I have no idea how they would know what's of interest to me as I have never made any purchase with my Virgin current accounts / debit cards.
As far as I can see, you get the cashback if you use the debit card linked to your cashback account. You don't actually spend with the Virgin app. You'll probably just need the app to see what your offers are.

Thanks Daliah,
That's convinced me it's not worth the hassle.
As you say, nearly all these bank offers are chocolate teapot.0
