I suspect this question is going to come up regularly now, as people who have never fixed and never looked at their bills or tariffs are going to be doing so.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for all the helpful replies folks. I’ve always had fixed deals in the past, but never been in a situation where the DDs didn’t cover the bill at the end of the term, hence my stupid assumption! I guess as per one of the comments on here, there are many supposedly intelligent people like me who may be under the same impression having never been in this situation before!1
