Newbie what should I do when fixed rate ends
Hello everyone.
Im not really up to speed on finances at the moment.
i
Ive got a 24 month exclusive fixed with octopus which ends may 2023.
My ex pays the bill at the moment.
i have some health problems which probably means I'm classed as vulnerable .
What should I be doing next. I'm in receipt of PIP
Be gentle thanks

You won't find anything cheaper than the price cap, whatever it is then, at the time. Any fixed rates will likely be more to cover future project costs.
Although it's hard to know what will happen between now and May. In any case, you don't need to do anything for some months.2 -
Don't spend the next nine months worrying about it. Being prepared is good, but so much might change between now and then that it isn't worth your effort now.Mayaboo said:I mean what should I do when the fixed ends in may .How do I find a new tarif4 -
Nobody knows what will be available in May 2023.
If it is the same as now either your current supplier offers you an acceptable fixed tariff or you will go onto the SVT. Unlikely that there will be any open market fixed tariffs available.
Be prepared for a very big price shock,1 -
Yes, I'm just double checking there's no way they can change my fixed rate ?0

Should I let them know I'm classed as vulnerable, now or later?0
