Has anyone had any luck getting this changed to monthly I have asked on numerous occasions and been refused I even asked to be switched to variable direct debit and been told no.
I keep an eye on my costs weekly but it would be so much easier if I could get them to change to monthly billing my previous energy suppliers always did monthly

But I think their billing system always does 6 monthly billing for standing DD accounts.0 -
Its absolutely crackers that these big utility cos. are sticking with 6 monthly billing and review cycles. I have the same problem with EDF for my gas supply. I have copious spreadsheets ,so I know how much I should be paying and I'm ready to make a one off payment before the Dec. review - but some people are going to get a very rude awakening when they are reassessed !1

Ask them on chat to raise a bill for you. It's more a faff for you than monthly billing, but they should do it for you.I submitted readings via chat, as my smart meters have lost their connectivity* of late, and to accept my readings, they said they had to bill me. Excellent, go ahead.* Fault report raised, and I'm waiting on the DCC reconnecting me to the Wider Area Network.0

EDF wouldn't do it when I asked on Chat for an updated gas bill - I'd had one in June so they couldn't raise until December -and I'm giving them meter reads at month end every month.vic_sf49 said:Ask them on chat to raise a bill for you. BG are more random - I've had 4 bills since May for the electricity.0 -
Which is why I went with the whole month exact amount direct debit at EDF
Not that it works much better, of for the 4 invoices that I should have receives, only one was without a problem, the first one I gave meter readings, but no bill (ok the first bill paying of only 10 days earlier, but they asked for the meter read), May worked fine, June they decided they don't believe my meter read that I did not use gas, they estimated 3 units, and overcharged me by £170 because I did not submit a meter reading.
For July they did not accept my meter reads at all, so I immediately send an email to the complaints team who had told me a situation like June will never happen again, and they sorted it immediately and painless, with the promise I just need to email when there are problems again.
Two days ago I send meter readings which were accepted. Lets see what they do this time.
Only thing that keeps me with EDF is a good two year fix running to Feb 2024. Than I need to switch anyway to a supplier that supports the Ripple Energy wind farm scheme.0
