No because E7 is not a simple extrapolation from the cap figures. There are many day / night / sc variations that come out with the same final totalSwipe said:

Love the fact that the actual rise in Ofgem Gas Unit price is a mere 114% from 7p to 15p....Media keep banging on about 80% rise and for most people heating their houses this winter that 114% rise is just bonkers.... imagine going to the petrol station and seeing petrol rise to £3.80 a litre on 1st October.... at least you can stop driving but its a bit harder to have Zero heating in Mid Winter!0

The increase is more than 80% but less than 100%.For my region (Southern) the gas price change is from 7.32p/kWh to 14.18p/kWh, a rise of 94%.

The average household's typical dual fuel energy bill was £1977 or something, it's now going to be more like £3,549, so a 80% rise overall. It's the simplest way to explain it. Whats the problem?Tarmacexpert1962 said:Love the fact that the actual rise in Ofgem Gas Unit price is a mere 114% from 7p to 15p....Media keep banging on about 80% rise and for most people heating their houses this winter that 114% rise is just bonkers.... imagine going to the petrol station and seeing petrol rise to £3.80 a litre on 1st October.... at least you can stop driving but its a bit harder to have Zero heating in Mid Winter!

My accurate EAC bill will be +81%, my daughter's will be +83%.The problem is that many do not know what their consumption actually is or what that costs.0

I would say it's the overwhelming majority who have no idea what their consumption is.
Ask someone you know how much energy they use and the reply is usually in pounds and pence, hardly anyone will quote kWh.3 -
