Domestic tariffs not Available - Communal Flat Block

We are twenty owners of a block of residential flats which has four communal stairwells with meters on each currently with SSE Business.  We currently run the owner led property management company but the meters were put on business tariffs before our time.  We now face bills of x3 last year as these tariffs aren’t capped and now liable to the spot market rates.  How do Ltd companies set up for domestic arrangements in residential flat complex move to a capped rate.  This doesn’t seem reasonable or intended when the owner management company was created?

Its the same for energy networks. As you have control over the property management it might be possible for each flat to switch to a residential supplier once the contract ends, assuming that each flat has its own meter. Any flats that want to remain under management can remain. The new contract would need to reflect the different meters on the supply.

As far as I know, you can't do that, you have a Ltd. Company responsible for those shared facilities and it cannot have a domestic tariff, as it is not a domestic use..
I presume from what you have written, the meters only track the use of the electricity in those communal areas, they do not include any of the residential areas like the flats?
