Exceeded pet insurance limits - is there anything I can do?

I think this is a long shot, but my cat has been having some serious problems recently and we have exceeded the limits for our Pet Insurance (the limit was £4000 per condition, for the lifetime of the condition. For this condition, the bill is already about £5000). Do you think there is anything we can do to get any further insurance, or increase the limits with our current insurer (Tesco)? The vets are suggesting that the next step if things don't improve over the next week will be an operation which will cost around £3500

any insurance which is going to cover the ongoing costs is going to be very expensive. So I guess the choice will be to fund yourselves or the alternative would be to put the cat down.

You will be very lucky to get any cover for an pe existing condition.
Can you get a loan or put the bill on 0% credit card?
Does your vet provide payment plans?
Unfortunately, as you have found, £4000 is not a lot of cover with today's vet costs.
