Tips on reducing Energy costs
Comments

Are you not aware of the massive hikes in energy prices this year?
Quote us your annual kWh usage and tariff and meaningful help can be given. What sort of property is it?
I suspect you are referring to your monthly DD, not your bill-the DD is just a contribution to the bill.
The only way to reduce costs in an all electric property is to switch to NSH's and an immersion heater on an E7 meter. It's presumed you are on a single rate tariff? No free lunch, and no free laptop

Anything used for heating water or air will be taking up most of it. Get a jumper and try not to use tumble driers/dishwashers.

I'm all electric E7- DD is £67 per month. I'm using a small countertop oven instead of the main one. Also I rarely cook one meal at a time - I generally cook two days worth and quite often I batch cook and freeze. I think that's been my biggest saving.

Telling us how much you pay is no use as we dont know how much you use, nor do we know what tariff you are on., you need to understand how much you use in kwh.
TBH £67 a month for an all electric flat sounds to be unfeasibly low. Have you been reading your meter regularly and sending the readings into your supplier or just happily getting estimated bills and paying the DD based on guesses. If the latter then you may have a really nasty shock coming when the meter does eventually get read
You really must check your tariff and make sure that your meter readings are up to date, especially if you are going to be hit with a massive price increase on 1st October. You don't want to be paying for leccy that you've already used at the increased rate because you've been underpaying.
In fact I'd strongly advise all energy customers to ensure that they read their meters on 30th November and submit the readings to ensure that their accounts are fully up to date. Even those with a smart meter should ensure that their billing accurately reflects their consumption to avoid paying more than they need on energy already consumed before the price increases.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
