Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is heavy and muggy.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's DH had chicken and mushroom pie leftovers with pots, veg and gravy, DS1 had rice and chicken, and I had gammon, egg and salad. Not sure what we'll be eating tonight.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Nice and bright this morning for a change, washing on the line.
I'm going for an earlier bus, the later one stops for all the schoolchildren so takes much longer, I like to be organised before the school day starts.
I slipped down some steps at school yesterday, wet feet and stairs don't go well together. Big bruise on my arm and stiff legs this morning but otherwise unscathed!
Hope everyone's well and has a good Thursday. Take care. XX10 -
Morning all and thanks for the thread nmlc x
Raining hard here and we've had thunder and lightning too. Not complaining at all but do wonder if the trains will be running okay today - expect they'll be flooding on the tracks somewhere. I'm in London today and tomorrow and difficult to know what to wear as it's still c. 20 degrees.
Really enjoyed the SW lamb dish last night. Just DH and I ate in the end as DS2 was at his GFs. We have 3 portions left, 2 in the freezer and one for my work lunch tomorrow. Won't be having too often due to the cost though. We are having SW chicken biryani tonight - DH on chef duties!
DH filled the lounge ceiling cracks last night whilst I undercoated the skirting, picture rail and architrave. Compared to the hallway it's a breeze. First coat of satin wood tonight after tea - whoop.
Sending hugs to @mehefin - never easy losing a faithful friend x
Hope you're having a lovely time @Gers
Sounds like the new 'job' is great @RedRuby1231 - so happy for you!
Hoping Chrystal and DGS came home yesterday @snoozer
Have a good day everyone, and hugs to those who are poorly or have worries.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I hope today lives up to forecast as I have a big white wash on the go and hopefully peg it outside. Ouch CAMELOT hope you soon feel less stiff.
Nothing exciting happening here (nothing new there) a food delivery for Sparkle this morning and a Tesco delivery for me this afternoon. I wonder what will be missing/subbed this time! And of course there will be the usual cleaning in among. Can I cope with all the excitement!!
I got thinking last night, where's the Bake Off this year. Isn't it usually broadcasting August time? That and Strictly are my two favourite shows.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all absolutely chucking it down with thunder and lightning just sorting the house for the baby shower at the weekend i have bits to collect today luckily in our area we have a party box scheme where you rent bits for a minimal sum of £2 which goes to charity at the end of the year we are having a large banner, boxes that say baby, doughnut wall and a neon sign and anything you have left over decoration wise you add when you return them a really good idea and a great money saver
I need to get some fruit juice and mixers also clean some windows other than that its just a clean round
Snoozer hope mum and baby are home and doing well

Morning everyone Camelot I bet you are feeling it this morning always worse the next day take care of yourself ouch.was supposed to be dry here but it’s damp up to now I have got a wash load in hoping it will dry up later laying paving stones today just waiting for them to be delivered.both of my sisters visited yesterday one of them hasn’t told anyone but she has had breast cancer a extremely small lump was found when she had her check and they have removed it and are confident it hasn’t spread she has to have a couple of lots of chemo to mop up any stray cells that could be lurking but wanted to keep it between her and her hubby until they knew what was happening and didn’t want to worry her daughters who have now gone absolutely mad with her so did I we could have been someone else to offload her worries to but that what she wanted so she knows we are all here for her now which I hope she always knew but that’s the way she wanted to deal with it . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning. Doesn't look like it'll be sunny ever again if you went by the sky now but i expect that'll burn off before long. Got a drive to the MOT place this morning which is in Salisbury [ ues, I know...]. It took me an hour to get there last time. When I was there, there were two blokes [ and not young ones either] who'd come from Brighton to get their car MOT'd! Am planning on leaving a bit earlier now that I'm awake earlier than expected myself. Will have a look around while the car is being done. No, I am not going to see the famous spire
Then home and to a birthday bbq we completely forgot about. I might even have a drink...
Camelot, ouch! hope it goes soon! Coxy, the end is nigh then,,,may your brushes never leave hairs....TA, I see asverts for it on C4 in bewteen the chateau programs...must be soon. Glad your boiler got fixed! Hugs n stuff for anyone who want or needs them, shout to the missing and anyone having it tough. Take care all....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12 -

Morning all, Clumsy Clara reporting in as yesterday I knocked half a jar of coffee all over the worktop and onto the floor so I ended up washing the kitchen floor. Then this morning I've knocked over an almost full cup of tea onto my jigsaw board🤨 Hopefully the little bit of jigsaw I've already done will survive without laminating (it's a new one), anyway for now I've covered it with kitchen roll and a tea cloth and have everything crossed.
This morning I was up by 7am and I already have a darks wash on the go in the wm. I was hoping for a glorious day so I could break the back of the holiday washing but at the moment it's all grey skies and it's still wet underfoot. We wanted to go over the van too today to bring back the rest of the stuff and put the cover on, so I'm hoping the sun will decide to come out later.
I had a text yesterday to tell me that my neurology appointment is for 5th Oct, happily for me it's via telephone as the hospital is now sprawling as they keep adding more buildings to it and I usually get lost in the long corridors. I did wonder how they will be able to see my shaky hands but that will remain a mystery for now.
Camelot ouch ! hope you are ok, try and take it easy at school if you can. Hope you had your fall put in the accident book.
taff hope the MOT turns out ok.
Update on the weather..... it's raining, and my first load is waiting to go out 😠
Take care all

,
I had a pleasant enough day yesterday, minded DGD for a bit while DH went with DS to look at an extension. It's halfway up but the previous builder seems to have disappeared ,& DH said it looks like it's been thrown up, he felt sorry for the owners. Once they got back I got ready for my lunch out with 2 friends. I'd booked a table luckily as they were nearly all taken. I'm hoping for a quietish day today to do some jobs. Looks pretty dull so I doubt the washing will go out.Took a cottage pie out of the freezer for tea last night. I think DS wants me to make some more bread rolls today. He won't be back until later so I might just get a burger out for him & then he can sort himself out. DH is going to quiz night at the pub so needs tea a bit earlier.Camelot, lucky you werent hurt more badly, hope the bruises fade quickly. Taff that seems a long way to go for your MOT - hope it passes.Right, time for another brew I think, take care all!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Pouring with rain here but meant to stop at lunch time, I hope so or it will be a soggy walk with the dogs !
I have a day off today, I am supposed to have my private client today but I swapped with his other PA as she needed monday off so I now have a long weekend to look forward to, I had another good day yesterday we made a cake in the morning and then made a packed lunch and went and had a picnic and fed the ducks ! my client needed to be home early so we left here at lunch time and I walked him back to the train staion in the next village, I rode my bike there and dropped him off, then rode back I was wizzing along on my bike with a big grin on my face thinking I am being paid for this ! I think this is the job I should have done years ago
Going to take mum shopping today I need to go anyway so two birds with one stone, and I will take the dogs out later this afternoon.
Camelot I hope you are ok after your slip xxx
Nels hope you and mum are ok xx
Taff I think it was you asking about the chutney ? Ive not made it yet but its an Able and Cole recipe, google roasted garlic and apple chutney, it looks tasty xx
Have good days all xx11
