And get a card and online banking?
My son turned 12 in June, he’s a savings account but it’s in my partners name - wanted to get him his own account he becomes responsible for? Or too young? Barclays, Halifax local brands.

It appears so, although I've no personal experience - I've just googled this

My daugther got a Nationwide Flex One when she was 12. You seem to have to open most of them in a branch for children aged 11-12 which is a real pain, but 13+ you can do it online as normal.

Nationwide FlexOne or TSB Under 19s seem good.0

Most banks allows to open one at 11. I did that for my son with Barclays, RBS and HSBC. With Barclays we did it over a Videocall (Barclays Video App), RBS was done simply online (but he already had a profile since opening a child Saving Account at 7yo) and HSBC I had to take some documents in branch, not sure if it was because his account is linked to mine as well (he also got a separate card from his debit card, that allows him to go in any HSBC worldwide and get up to £500 emergency funds).
With Santander we waited he turned 13 and then applied online.0
