So if they send a £66 refund via dd, how would this affect the Santander cashback I wonder?AlwaysLearnin said:Might be of use to some - OVO have recently announced how they will be dealing with the grant payments / DD's:

Would you get the full cashback on the original dd payment? Or would they deduct the £66 from the original payment to work out the cashback? When I got refunds from E.on for overpaid DDs, 123 cashback wasn't clawed back.
When I changed suppliers to a 2 year fix last September, I slightly over-estimated my usage and the DD was set accordingly. Nonetheless, the supplier for some strange reason thought I'd massively underestimate usage and, after a month, raised my DD to over double my actual annual usage.
I just let it run until there was a big surplus and asked for a refund. Different situation obviously with a simple refund, but nothing was deducted from my 123 cashback. Same when I asked for a second refund recently.
But the thrill of getting extra cashback is past, and getting a refund is a hassle. They ask for a photo, and it takes a couple of weeks. So I'll probably get the DD reduced and won't be mucking about increasing it for the cashback.
And will brace myself for when the fix ends next year.2
