Deceased with BT. Do we cancel and reorder - or change details and haggle?

My Mum has sadly passed.
She had BT Landline and Broadband.
Her grandson will be moving in to her home and taking over the bills.
Question is - should he cancel the existing BT policy and set up new one? Go thorugh QuidCo (for example).
Or should he get the details changed into his name and try to haggle down the cost?
Any thoughts greatly apprecited.

Get rid and sign up as a new customer unless the existing deal is fantastic after taking the loss of potential cashback into account0
