Morning everyone
Its raining here again - hopefully it will be like yesterday and brighten up later. I had a lovely cuppa. chocolate brownie and natter with my friend yesterday - we were there for 3 hours and were still sitting outside when they were closed!
Same venue for lunch today with a different friend - though confusingly they both have the same name!
DD texted me at 1.30 this morning to say they were at the hospital - little one's breathing had been 'funny' so she called an ambulance. The paramedics had phoned the RVI and they wanted her there to be monitored. By the time they got there little one had been fine and complaining she was hungry. DD expects they'll get home today
Snoozer - hopefully you'll get to see your new little grandson today.
Gers - pleased you arrived safely - a very long journey!
Nels - hope you're ok and get on well with the kitchen.
Redruby - sounds like a lovely day - I bet you're not missing your other job
Better get moving as I need to go down to mam and dads this morning
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning all. Neighbour came round yesterday to ask me to witness their will and I ended up clearing out their computer a bit. Hopefully it's still working now. Today is sewing, hand sewing, not too hot at that, so a trip to the sewing shop is still on the cards for some embroidery thread, didn't make it there yesterday but I'm having my nails done again today [ Izzy, watch out, it's addictive!
] so I'll go on the way back. I've switched the little freezer back on and am filling with supplies for OH when I'm away, since he doesn't cook and will happily eat cereals and crumpets, so there's quite a bit of that in there to start with. I'll go shopping again in a bit for freezer stuff, veg, etc. Dual purpose, it fills up the freezer, and it'll be cheaper to buy it now than in a few months time. Coffee with friends tonight and then early to bed, have to take my car for an MOT first thing tomorrow morning and then the great pack up will have to start. Coxy, now I'm imaging a plantation house for you,it's the shutters, I love a shutter. Good luck with the ongoing, sometimes it's tiring just looking at it let alone doing it. snoozer, hope they come home today and you get to see him
Ruby, sound fab, that's what I call a job
Nels, no point in telling you to go steady, accidents happen, hope it's a quick recovery from this one. Izzy, still going a hundred miles and hour I see, but that's a lovely thing to do for them. Wear work gloves, you've got a couple of weeks at least left out of them there nails....nanny, hoping for no more calamitous happenings with your father and a nice relaxing day for you...Gers, must have missed your post, glad you got there safe! Enjoy! Look after yourselves people...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -
Morning folks, I'm a latecomer this morning but I've had a bit of a silly morning! It was supposed to be bus ride/lunch day (just 2 of us this time) then the plumber rang to see if he could do my boiler service today! He's all at sea with jobs due to illness. Anyway we sorted he would be here by 9.00 then I could still meet my friend. So I was up and at 'em early to be ready for dashing off as soon as he finished. Then friend rang to ask if we could postpone till next Wednesday as she was off it. So there was I all dressed up and nowhere to go when the plumber arrived!
Anyway seeing as I am ready I shall just pop into town as my meds are ready at Boots and there are odd bits I need from Bodycare too. And after scoffing a large all day brunch yesterday with BFF it won't harm me to do without a large pub lunch today! I had my usual good meet with BFF and we chatted away for the usual 4 hours! Her OH says he doesn't know what we find to talk about for so long week after week!
GERS good to hear you arrived safely and as well as being near FLOSS's friend you are only about an hour away from one of my friends! She's in Lawnton. Enjoy your family get-together.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. NELS take it easy today, a tumble like that can shake you up. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning all - it's 8.50 a.m. on Thursday here. My sleep was broken by the dawn chorus from very strange birds, it all sounded like the sound track in a jungle documentary. I'm staying in a small cabin in the property grounds, all fairly primitive though comfortable enough. I'm surrounded by a banana grove, most extraordinary. My SIL lived in it until yesterday when her own tiny house was eventually finished.I hope that all are doing well, Nelski and Mehfin especially. I've caught up on news of baby, holidays, days out, days in, swimming, walking, new clients and so much more going on. Lovely to read.7
