Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is heavy and muggy.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was gammon, egg and chips/salad. There LO's from the chicken and mushroom pie and gammon so tonight's dinner will be made up of those.
Working this morning then on days off until Tuesday - nice to have some time off, as staffing levels still a problem and yesterday was very busy due to lack of staff - today will be similar.
Keep safe and well x

Thanks for starting NMLC, staff shortages seem to be a problem at your workplace, rebounds on everyone else doesn't it. Is it staff sickness, or do they just not have enough people. It started to rain earlier, we could do with it, It was hot again yesterday. The dog went home yesterday, we miss him a bit.Snoozer, hope the new family are all right.Izzy, have you recovered from the wedding yet? it sounded fabulous! Hope the happy couple enjoy their honeymoon in Greece.Ruby you seem to be enjoying your new job, you did the right thing moving on.Hello Nanny, glad to see you, hope you are feeling ok and enjoyed your holiday.Nothing much planned for today, we took our clothes for the weekend over to the caravan yesterday. We're only there for 2 days so don't need much.Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks13

Morning All
Raining again, the pattern seems to be rain in the morning and lovely in the afternoons.
Hope you have a good weekend away Scarlett.
Glad you've arrived safely Gers.
Sounds like you had a fabulous time Izzy, enjoy your time off.
Managed a swim last night, I'm a lot slower than I was but slowly getting better. The only thing with going at 6pm is not having my dinner until after, it's a bit late.
I'm having trouble with the space bar on this Chromebook, either no space or two!
Must go for the bus, take care. XX11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Glad you arrived safely @Gers x
So lovely to read of the wedding @IzzyBee and must admit you brought a tear to my eye when you said about dancing with your DS. Glad you all had a super time x
Hope all is well with new DGS @snoozer and that Chrystal is doing well too x
Glad you're making progress with DMum's house @Nelski and hope she continues to get better x
WFH today, but in the office tomorrow, Friday and all of next week bar BH Monday. We are still decorating and have now moved on to the lounge as we have shutters, new sofas and flooring arriving in the next few weeks. Have arranged for the local council to collect and dispose of our old sofa and armchair which are 15 years old and now ripped. I managed to save them for a further 8 months due to buying cheapo £4 fleece throws for the seat cushions, but it's really time for them to go to sofa heaven. The hallway walls will be painted next week, then we can book the floor fitters in.
Some washing to do today, including our DIY clothes that got yucky from all the sanding of wood last night. Mine are paint-splattered joggers and a tshirt but I'd like them to be 'clean' for the next round of painting iyswim!
Dinner last night was Quorn cottage pie and I have a portion saved for my office lunch tomorrow. Tonight we are having SW Greek lamb with orzo which I'm hoping is nice given the lamb was so expensive!
Have a good day all and hugs to all the poorlies or those with worries.

Hi everyone,
Hopefully Crystal and the baby will be coming home today, all being well. Chris has been staying with them and I don't think they have been getting much sleep. He popped home for a shower while Crystal's mum visited yesterday (I say popped but it's 45 minutes each way, but there are no facilities for visitors and the place is so warm he felt icky).
Steve installed the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and also a retractable clothes line they had bought, his drill broke in the process so he was looking up how to repair it last night. TBH he uses it such a lot I hardly think it's worth repairing but we shall see, he might enjoy the challenge. His sister and I did what little cleaning there was, picked up all the windfalls (lots) and bought provisions. Unfortunately, one of the bedrooms has developed some large cracks so they need to get a surveyor in to look at them. It's a Georgian house (listed) and has two large magnolia grandiflora growing up the front so we think that those together with the very dry weather have caused the damage. The trees are protected so apart from some pruning which they have permission for nothing can be done about them, hopefully their insurance will pay for any remedial treatment.
I don't know what is in store for today, hopefully seeing the grandson but that depends on them being discharged and Crystal feeling up to it by the tie she gets home so it might not happen.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here again but sun due out later this afternoon, I have a new young man coming today, although I have met him a couple of times I have not had him on my own for any length of time, I am slightly anxious about today as he has epilepsy, although he does not have seziures often, but if he does I am to call an ambulancelets hope today goes off with no incidents.
Yesterday my client and I went for a walk around the lake and then had a coffee, and then home for lunch, I asked if he wanted to make a cake and he said no I would like to read my paper, so we sat in the lounge and he promptly fell asleepso I sat with him for an hour and did some paperwork and then when he woke he had a cup of tea and then I took him home, all in all a lovely day !
Chicken curry for dinner tonight so need to get the chicken out of the freezer after this.
Hope mum and baby are ok xxx
Have good days all xx12 -
Good morning and happy Wednesday.
My plan for today is go and help shower my 89 year old mum, come back and potter around the house.
My DS is coming for tea tonight after work.
Supporting vibes and hugs to those who need them . Xx11 -
Morning
Bit of a grim day here in costa del Wigan. Rainy and still quite dark. No sun bed out today
Think I got a bit ambitious yesterday taking some things to the bin and ended up going flying. Had to shuffle to the stairs to be able to hoist myself up standing again. Really think I need to do more work on building some leg strength. No real damage done just lots of bruises including my ego
Started on the kitchen clear but was a bit shook up so very little done.
No spark coming today ...hes sick Hope he's not going to live up to my views of tradesmen in this area.
Home tonight so need a good day on the kitchen then I know what Im dealing with
Have a good day all9 -
Morning all, I have been awake since just after 3am so I'll probably be fit for nothing about lunchtime.
I eventually got my GP tel appointment an hour late as there was a receptionist error 😠 My lovely GP apologised profusely for their mistake then prescribed more meds for me, so I shall pick up the script and get it filled this morning. The DW is already on but it's raining again so no wm going, maybe it will turn out dry and warm like yesterday afternoon, perhaps I should have done some washing then 🤨 It's all holiday clothes anyway so nothing that can't wait for a dry day. I have a "to do" list to work through today but it will depend on my energy levels as to how much will be done.
RedRuby glad you had a good day with your client yesterday and fingers crossed for an incident free one today.
Snoozer I hope Crystal and baby are home today.
Take care all, stay safe and well
