Am I entitled to reclaiming my admin fee from Lease company

Long story short we had a car on order with a lease company since July 2021.
The build date kept being pushed forward and our last update was that it is being build this Nov with Delivery in Dec. This deal has now been 'lost' and cancelled by the manufacturer.
We're now being told they'll be no more built this year and we'll have to await a new date.
With this is in mind we're wanting to look for something else now as we physically can't wait until next year.
We paid an admin fee of £121.99 and I'd like to claim a refund seeing as the vehicle hasn't been delivered.
Are we entitled to get this back?

Yes. If they can't deliver the car, you're entitled to your money back.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
What does the contract say? (After all the lease company have expended effort thus incurred costs).Jenni x0

Jenni_D has hit the nail on the head.
The admin fee is non refundable.
It is not for the lease of the car but for their time, effort, paperwork and communications arranging the lease. Basically a fee for them to order the car.
They will most likely say they have done this (and more by chasing the manufacturer on several occasions) and it is not their fault it hasn't turned up yet.
The best you can do it to talk to them about it and if you're still aren't happy try complaining via BVRLA.0 -
Thanks all. I've spoken with them and they're going to refund the admin fee.1
