Hi, I submitted a Hr4 form to the land registry at the end of July,  but have hear absolutely nothing since.

How long would it normally take to process? Should have I at least received an acknowledgement letter? Can I get in touch with the land registry to check on progress?

Thanks in advance

    4-5 months wait at present. No acknowledgment. You can contact us but no need as there’s a long wait so a case of waiting and once completed we will write to confirm
    The ‘wait’ doesn’t normally matter as your application is protected from date of receipt.
    If there’s an urgency and the entry needs to come off asap then request expedition

  • Thanks, that is helpful. I am trying to remortgage and the new lender won't complete until the notice is removed.

    Would that be a case for expedition? As I don't want to lose out on the rate I've secured and not be able to move lenders which will cost me more money.

    why have you changed your mind?

  • @Land_Registry we received a letter to confirm consent for the removal of the HR4 form early September and sent it back ASAP. Some correspondence suggested that they may process earlier, but would progress from September 26th as the last day to contest the request.

    Now that we returned the consent form, and that date has passed, are we at the final stage of things being processed and any idea how long it might take?

    With interest rates now rising in really fortunate that we secured a rate back in July, but I'm worried that the Land Registry won't progress this in time and we won't be able to transfer the mortgage.

    I'm keen to chase this, but could do with some advise please

    I’d expect things to be finalised or of not very soon. The devil will be in the detail though so what’s the title number please?

    @Land_Registry Thanks - it is LT448699

    FYI, my username on here is nothing like my actual name in real life, so don't be confused when you see a different name on the HR4 form

    Many thanks - I’ve contacted the casework team and it’s been completed now so the updated register is available online now. You’ll get confirmation by post in a few days
