I've been with Telewest / Virgin for a long time now (too long to remember) but think i need to change

My son keeps asking about getting Sky Sports for the football, which I have had previously through Virgin, but it is quite expensive. We have two boxes, TIVO i think i the lounge and another in son's room

To be honest, my wife and I don't often watch live TV through the Virgin box .. I am more into YouTube and she usually just watches on a different smart TV connected directly to the internet (no actual TV box at all or aerial connection)

The spare room has a stand-alone TV, with a Firestick which offers more than enough if the granddaughter pops over for a short stay. No live TV, but enough to be looking at.. and YT too

I am considering joining Sky, but have heard about NowTV but don't really know enough about it. Do you need a dish ?

What's the best option for getting sky sports please

I need broadband but am not too bothered about the landline .. we are paying for it now, but nobody really uses it.

thanks !

Dish - no.  Just requires internet connection.  Will work on Firestick, install from Amazon App store.

Sky Sports - through Now TV, you can buy it on its own, no contract.

When you put in cancellation  to leave virgin see what they will offer for you to have sky sports added to the maxit package. You can get that on a retentions deal for 60-70pm with weekend calls and 100/200mb broadband. Sky sports on now is £34pm alone before broadband costs.

There are usually offers on Now with Sport at the moment (till 28/08) £25 a month for 12 months but without being tied into a contract so you can remove as you want -
