Thank you all. I will use Trailfinders.  Have used them before for upmarket package holidays.

When I looked at true RTW tickets some years ago, they meant literally that.  You head West or East and carry on travelling in that direction.  Some allowed a single diversion to 'double back' but you couldn't do what the OP want to do.

I tried the One World Alliance option and you really need to know what you are doing as a layman.  I have done my own package holidays but not like this.  I can see as well that as though I am referring to ROW it might be just some flights put together i.e London - Hong Kong - Sydney - Toyoko and then back to London.

I had booked and paid for a Virgin ROW type ticket just before the pandemic hit.  It was £4k  per person Business Class and included London Hong Kong Sydney LA and then back to the UK.  It just happened to be the sweet spot and it also ended up being a few different airlines all approved by me.  Shame we didnt end up going....  We used Trailfinders that time and got all our money back very promptly.  We also got some internal Oz flights Economy (!) which ended up costing very little.

If this ends up being one airline that is fine.  As long as its not BA or any of the USA airlines I will be fine (unless of course it makes a huge difference in price for one of the legs)  Delta One looks OK.

I just want to make this very memorable for all sorts of reasons.  Just recently flown Emirates in their A380 Biz Class.  It was wonderful and that bar at the back was fab.  Liking the look of the Qatar Q Suites as well.  Budget I guess is £5500 per person but please allow me to dream of the Virgin offer we didnt end up using.

Its only money and you cannot take it with you.
