On Saturday 20th I the registered keeper of the vehicle received the letter below. Which I've attached claiming the vehicle I own was parked in a area for authorised vehicles only.

I have attached a redacted copy of the letter aswell as copies of the signs at the location.

When entering the car park from the one way system the sign stating ‘Authorised Vehicles only ‘this applies 24 hours a day Monday - Sunday’ would not be clearly visible when turning left into the car park.

This area was frequently used in the evening for takeaway drivers etc with no problems as far as I know for years.

The only sign that may be visible to the  driver is in the photos attached, which only states 'authorised vehicles only'.

Also the alleged contravention happened on the 3/8/22, the letter is dated 17/8/22 and wasn’t received until the 19th would this be classed as over the 14 day period ?

All the photos were taken around the same time as the alleged incident, except for the one which is clearly taken in daylight which would be on the right hand side as you enter the area.

Is there any grounds worth appealing on or would I be best to just pay ?

I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

What happened when you complained to the landowner and your MP? That is always Plan A.

What is the name of the PPC please?

You mean registered keeper, as there is no register of owners held by the DVLA.

If that fails, then appeal using the template in blue text you will find in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES.

Send it from the keeper, unaltered save for a one line stating that the NTK arrived too late to hold the keeper liable so they should cancel now in order to save themselves money.

I'm not happy opening those images as the imgur site is asking me to do things I don't want to do
