Valid paying customer - Euro Car Parks

Hi

I have read the newbies thread and searched numerous posts for Euro Car Parks but still unsure what action I should take.

I received a Parking Charge Notice for parking in the Hungry Horse in Beckenham for No Valid Pay and display/permit was purchased.

My partner appealed the charge on the ECP website using a template found on here although is unaware exactly which one he used.    The appeal was rejected although I received nothing via post and have been informed the time to appeal to POPLA has now passed.

I have an online banking statement that proves I was a paying customer on the date in question and I had keyed my registration in the keypad in the restaurant, which clearly did not work.  I called the restaurant who advised me to call the ECN and explain the situation and they will cancel, which they would not even discuss.

I have received a first letter from Debt Recovery Plus, requesting that I now pay the outstanding amount of £155.

From the newbies thread I could not determine whether at this stage it is too late to appeal with anyone and to ignore the letters, or to send an appeal to DRP, Restaurant or anyone else?

I have not disclosed who was the driver at any stage of this.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

What did you say to the pub when you told them to cancel the parking charge notice?
    From the Plain Language Commission:

I called them up, and they said to call ECP who would cancel it.

I had already appealed with ECP, and when I called they said they would not discuss it over the phone and to follow the appeals process.

Do you think it is worth a formal written complaint to the restaurant?

Absolutely, which is what the entire thread called SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS tells you all about.
