An Amazon trader, who only replies slowly in broken English, has give me a supposedly Royal Mail tracking number which isn't recognise and is in the wrong format.
In the one reply I've had they refer to a "courier".
So, any idea what company use this format....
Thanks!

Eight digits followed by two capital letters
It is a fairly low value item (but urgent and important to me) so I imagine it would be one of the cheap couriers but I have tried all the ones I can think of!Thanks!

In the past, when stuff has shipped from outside the country and I've no idea where it is, I've used 17track.net to do the leg work for loads of couriers for me.
It's packed with ads
but when you identify the courier you at least know where to go next for the tracking. 0 -
Thanks, however given the supposedly fairly short delivery time I assume this was shipping from the UKOzzig said:In the past, when stuff has shipped from outside the country and I've no idea where it is, I've used 17track.net to do the leg work for loads of couriers for me.

I've made that assumption myself before now as well.Undervalued said:

To be fair, I've received smaller packages from HK that were "UK Seller" within 7 days, which arrived faster than some actual UK sellers

What are those last 2 letters, might give a clue to where it is coming from. ie GB, US, CN

Thanks, the last two letters are FF. So, sadly not an obvious country of origin.molerat said:What are those last 2 letters, might give a clue to where it is coming from. ie GB, US, CN0 -
Parcelsapp.com might work0

Here's another one for you to try:
https://www.4tracking.net/en/carriers/upu
UPU is Universal Postal Union, they set the standards for postal services around the world. the only problem from your point of view is the webpage says that a tracking number is two letters, nine numbers and then 2 more letters which indicate as others have said the country of origin.
