Predicted unit rates and standing charges
Hi I've been offered a fix with sainsburys Smooth renew v20. I'd like to compare the unit rates and standing charges with the Svt predicted ones for the next year.
I believe someone has posted a table before based on Cornwall predictions. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
For reference the fix I'm being offered is
Elec
60.08p per kw
42.24 SC
Gas
15.09p per kw
27.22 SC
Estimated usage (but based on 12 months of real meter readings)
Elec - 2618
Gas - 12,189
Thank you

Great thanks. To work out the Standing Charge per day do I divide the £170 and £100 figures by 365?0
-
Yes but those are an average, regional prices vary for SC0
-
oh wow OK I didn't know there were regional variations for KWh prices, and elec SC. Interesting.
Based on the table above and compared to the rates I'm being offered, I guess I will be paying higher rates in Oct compared to the SVT, but lower in Jan and April.
In which case, I should fix and as I have no exit fees, I can switch back onto variable if anything changes?0 -
Yep,that's what a lot of people are doing. We predict that we'll make a loss in October - December, but make it back next year.and there's no fees to leave if things work out differently.0

OK bit the bullet and fixed
will work on getting consumption down so I'm not going from £96pm direct debit to £305pm!! 0
