Changing to temporary address after mortgage offer

I'm in the middle of buying a house and have had a mortgage offer from NatWest, but it's about to expire as it's taken a lot longer than expected to get to the point of exchange.
I'm having to move out of my rented flat for 1 - 2 months (as I don't want to renew my contract for another year) to stay with a friend whilst I wait for everything to go through.
I've already applied for the electoral roll but if my application address doesn't match this (as it may still be my old address for a while), is there a strong possibility of being rejected? I'm very worried that living in temporart accomodation is going to affect my credit score.

Discuss with lender. Surprisingly (? ) different lender's have different rules and procedures.0

Why move? Just roll it over to monthly.
Have you been given notice?0 -
Why don't you let it roll over into a periodic contract? The tenancy doesn't finish at the end of the contract. Or have you already given notice?Wjg89 said:

To add, mortgage companies don't really care about that score you see. They look at the whole file.
If you explained you have moved temporarily they are likely to be fine with it. Assuming you have good credit as you are going with NatWest.0 -

Our landlord would only let us sign a year's contract. She wouldn't change it over to monthly.0 -
Our landlord was adamant that she would not allow us to have a monthly rolling contract. It had to be year. We've therefore said we'll leave.martindow said:Why don't you let it roll over into a periodic contract? The tenancy doesn't finish at the end of the contract. Or have you already given notice?0 -

Or have you already given notice? You didn't need to have the permission of your landlord. As soon as you stay beyond the fixed term it legally automatically rolls over into a periodic contract whatever the landlord wants. The landlord could give you two months notice with a S21, but by then you would have given your month's notice and be gone anyway.I'll leave the experts here to discuss how you gave your notice to leave and whether it is valid. Possibly your contract states that notice has to be given in writing for instance, so mentioning that you would leave in a phone call might be meaningless.

G_M's excellent guidehas the details - see post 4. The Covid arrangements are no longer relevant, but the explanation of a tenant's and a landlord's rights for giving notice is thoroughly explained.

It automatically moves to a month to month contract. The landlord can't stop that.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉2
