Hands up, I’m a proper thicko & need someone with a lot more brain cells than me to help me calculate the cost of my monthly electricity bill! Here goes:
Using November as an example because that’s when the night storage heaters go on…
kWh used for 30 days = 725
Day rate 22.49 pence/kWh
Night rate 14.12 pence/ kWh
standing charge 25.75 p/day
usage between night & day is 70% night: 30% day.
this is a fixed rate with Octopus until Aug ‘23. I am really careful to do all my electric jobs (washing, vacuuming etc) before the Eco7 turns off!
Octopus have an app which shows the kWh used by the month but not the cost & I don’t have a wall-mounted display which is a shame.
Thanks very much in advance!

    Assuming your 70%/30% is correct

    Day units = 0.3 * 725 = 217.5 kWh
    Night units = 0.7 * 725 = 507.5 kWh

    Nov bill = 30 * .2575 + 507.5*.1412 + 217.5*.2249 = 128.30

    30% of 725kwh=217.5kwhx22.49(day rate)=£48.92
    70% of 725kwh=507.5kwhx14.12(night rate)=£71.66
    November = 30 days x 22.75(standing charge = £6.83

    Day rate £48.92 + Night rate £71.66 + standing charge £6.83  = £127.41
    If the rates given above don't inc VAT add 5% = £6.37
