Tying up Smart Parking.

Just got a PCN from SP claiming a parking overstay of nearly 11 hours.

What they've done is miss the exit of the first visit and the entry of the second as there are two different entry/exit points.

They've done this to a few locals before who've then gone on and wasted time trying to prove it was two visits and not one continuous one.

I've beaten SP using the template from here before but was wondering if there's any way to make them jump through hoops on this one for wasting my time or not bother and just appeal with the template?

They also didn't get the PCN to me withing 14 days.

Just appeal it using the template adding to it that as they failed to meet PoFA requirements (wording and timing of NtK) they cannot hold you liable as the registered keeper. Simple enough - they'll cancel.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Do you have any evidence of the car being elsewhere during that time? receipt for fuel, ticket for parking elsewhere, driver timesheet, or GPS history?

If so, don't share it with them but record it in case you need it later.

If you really wanted to have fun with them, you should do the same thing but between the visits go and overstay in another of their car parks and see if they threaten to show a judge that the car was in 2 different car parks at once... :)
