I had a return in equities, but this is cash savings which is not the same risk profile at all. Besides from my May 19 purchase we have had the Covid and Energy drops so equities would not have been as good as boom times.... and I started with PEPs equity funds in the early 90s.artyboy said:Agreed it's a great rate as of right now, but over the course of the past 5-10 years wouldn't you still have made a far better return by putting it all in equities?1 -
With the increasing inflation rates, (HMG are now paying me more than I receive for the new state pension) I wouldn't be surprised if on maturity of the next tranche of IL bonds - there will be no renewal option.
