Late defence

Been trying all day to send off my defence but my scanner was not playing ball while I was working from home. Only have myself to blame. I’ve managed to send it off but I had to scan each page one at a time and send 5 attachments to the court and not as a pdf but as a jpeg I beleive as the scanner/computer gave me trouble all day while trying. The deadline was today, with all this happening is my defence going to not count?

    No but dont panic!
You will have to resend the document as a pdf, but there should be nothing to scan as you simply type it on a computer as a word profile, digital signature and then save it as a pdf
the court wont accept jpeg files
Dont worry if its a day or a few days late for this, just get it done again tonight

There should be no issue with pdf files on a pc

Phone the CCBC in the morning to ask. Expect a long 'on hold' period before getting through to a member of staff. Start early, around 08:55am as business hours commence 09:00am.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think I am right in saying that as long as you get it in pronto, and before an application for judgment  in default, you should be ok.

What I would be doing right now is getting a jpeg to pdf converter (if you don't have one) and converting those pages to pdf, as I think the court will not read them in that form.

THEN use a pdf merge program to get them in page order into one document and then send during business hours

If this is to do with any of your other 3 threads/discussions it is best to keep all questions to one thread otherwise it all becomes fragmented and regulars have to dip about between your various threads.

Going to have a go at resending it asap within the hour. Do I have to write on tbh email to ignore the previous one or anything like that?
