Old CCJ from Motormile

I have got a CCJ from July 2017 which I have discovered is from a Motormile payday loan which got me into all sorts of financial trouble.
It is now owned by Moriarty Law.
Given that MM sought to redress their customers in 2017 (I never got that meno!), what is likely to happen if I contact Moriarty?
I did contact Lantern, who used to be MM but they advised to contact Moriarty.

Motormile finance were a debt collection firm, now renamed and rebranded as "Lantern".
They may have bought your old payday loan, they certainly did not issue it.
Lantern will still own this debt, as Moriarty are just the legal arm of Lantern, have they been in contact with you ?
I wouldn`t rock the boat unless you wish to settle this account, otherwise wait till they contact you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Drops off your file next year,
I agree with sourcrates - leave it alone.1 -
Though keep an eye out for a CCJ, if it's a decent sized debt it is worth them applying for one before the 6 years so they can enforce the debt0

Thanks for your advice everyone. I've got another CCJ with TMLS which drops off in December so I'll let this one go too.0
