Thank you all so much, think I'm going to go ahead and get one, together with training the kids to rewear their clothes more between washes should help me be less reliant on the td in the winter.
Thanks for starting the thread. I'm getting one now too.
  • I like my Dri-Buddi so much I have 2 of them! One was a chazzer purchase for £15, the other from Freecycle.

So much to read, so little time.
  • These sound brilliant. Can anyone recommend which brand or shop to get one from?

I've gone for the larger one https://www.lakeland.co.uk/24909/dry-soon-deluxe-3-tier-heated-airer hoping I can use it less if I can put more on if that makes sense?

  • I’ve got the Lakeland super duper large one with wheels and the cover. Definitely worthwhile as you can open it so you’ve only got half capacity too. The cover stops the dampness getting into the air and contains some heat too. Generally means we can dry a load overnight.

We have central heating but no tumble dryer or heated airer. Whether winter or summer (when heatin off) we find that using an over bath airer or clothes horse or Edwardian style hanging airer will get clothes dry in two days max.. The better the rpm on your washing machine's spin, the more water gets removed and therefore clothes dry faster.

Lakeland heated airers are reduced at the moment.. I bought a second one yesterday, my old one is a bit wobbly now.

I`ve bought two secondhand on Ebay for my sons.  You can put a search in to see if any advertised near you.
