Redundancy notice

Hi,
I'm more then likely going to get my redundancy notice on the 2nd September. I have a question, which I don't want to ask my employers but also can't find the answer online.
I started employment at the company on the 5th September 2011 and the notice will be served on the 2nd September. That's 10 complete years before notice but 11 complete years, including the notice period.
Would the notice period be 10 weeks on the date of the notice? This is what I assumed it would be. Or 11 weeks because by the time I leave, I would have been there for over 11 complete years?
They've given me 2 letters, 1 states 11 weeks, to my surprise but the 2nd states 10 weeks.
Thank you.
Thank you.

The relevant date is the date your notice period ends, therefore 11 years.0

Hi all,
I have a follow up question that may have been answered above so apologies if it has.
Joined company 23 Sep 2019
Will find out if I have been chosen for redundancy on 12 Sep 2022
Assuming 2 weeks notice means I will be paid until Sun 25 Sep 2022? Or, would it be Friday 23 Sep 2022 - which will be my 3 year anniversary?
Or, should/will I get 1 extra week because, on Sep 23/25 I will have been there for 3 years?
Assuming that I will receive 4.5 weeks wages (over 40 - 3 * 1.5 weeks) as redundancy?
Last question - we've been told we will get Paid In Lieu of Notice, and will have to arrange our leave date. Knowing my own petulance here, if they tell me they don't want me, I'm going to try to leave on the actual day. If I do that, would it alter any of the above. In other words, would I be bringing my notice date or employment end date forwards so getting redundancy of 3 weeks wages and 2 weeks PILON?

If the OP was asking what amount of notice would be required to be given, then the answer is ten weeks. That is the amount of notice is what is due at the point notice is given not what it would be if given a few days later.Jaybee_16 said:The relevant date is the date your notice period ends, therefore 11 years.0 -
If your contract does not provide for longer than statutory notice, then your notice would be the two weeks you mention.ad1927 said:Hi all,

If that is the case and they dismiss you on 12 September (today) then two weeks (14 days) would be from 13 to 25 inclusive.
It makes no difference to how much notice you are entitled but your redundancy pay should be as your being employed for 3 years.
Does your contract provide for them to pay in lieu of notice?0
