Cordless vacuum

Could do with a handheld one, even though upright ones would probably give best overall use.
This largely stems from my wife's psoriasis as her skin totally covers the sofa & the floor where we sit to eat. Less so up the stairs & on the landing but you still see it there.
She wont keep breaking out the Henry and has asked for a cordless hoover. Handheld would probably be better/easier for this but then I'm thinking upright could give a quick whizz through the rooms as a top up if you will & then give it a good going over with the Henry at the weekend.
Only thing is, I certainly don't want to be spending 3 figures when we already have a Hoover, so that probably brings quality down somewhat.
Add to that, every hoover I look at it appears to be a case of charge it for 10 lifetimes to get 5 nanoseconds use out of it - not good. I don't expect an hours charge to last me 5 hours hoovering, but something decent would be nice.
Up side is - we don't have pets. I assume this is awkward stuff to hoover since everyone advertises their hoovers as good for pets.
I don't want to keep buying & returning crap products on Amazon so was hoping someone reading this is right about now thinking I have just the hoover that fits the bill for you, take a look at <insert link>.

We have a brilliant Bosch one that is an upright with a detachable hand-held. I think it is more expensive than you are hoping for though - about £170. I found this one https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9514865?clickPR=plp:1:10 at Argos that doesn't have the detachable hand held but has good reviews and only costs £99.MFW since March 2019Mortgage-free 30th June 2023

Does it have to be a Hoover or will you consider other brands?

Though hopefully with it being Dyson it's not still in the 3 figure bracket.0 -
It's not in your less than 3 figure price range but we have a Vax Blade 4 and are very happy with it. 40 minute use from a single charge, can be used as handheld or effectively as an upright. Powered head could be very useful for collecting shed skin.

You cannot buy a decent cordless vacuum for less than £100. Anything in that price bracket will be a Chinese made clone that will maybe last a couple of years and be impossible to obtain spares for. The battery in particular.
I'm not suggesting you spend £600 on a Dyson V11 either, but the sweet spot is probably nearer the £250-£300 mark.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Just had a gander & seen one for £99.99 sold by Vax themselves. Bargain.
That'll do me. I like the reasonable runtime for the less-than-I've-been-seeing charge time.
Purchased. Thank you.

Happy to have been proved wrong. The one you've seen may be a reconned model but that makes no difference if it does the job.

He was talking about Dyson and said something along the lines of, "You've got to hand it to Dyson, their marketing is brilliant. They're probably the best-known brand of hoover in the world. I mean, can you think of any other brand of hoover that's as well-known as Dyson?"Made me chuckle :-)1
