Good morning all, it;s a fine start here but chillyish. "autumnal" as the forecasters say.
Yesterday wasn't too bad but we had rain in the early evening.
Didn't do a lot yesterday, walked the dog, did a little bit of shopping, that was it really.
Nothing planned for today.
Hope everyone has a good day anyway, thinking of anyone who is not well or having a difficult time at the moment.
Take care folks.

Morning, thanks for starting us off Scarlet.Heavy rain battering onto my window woke me up earlier. Now the sky behind fluffy white clouds is bright blue. This morning I'll be doing a small wash and put it on the airier in my bedroom. There's only one more thing to go into my suitcase, a last minute jumper. Sunset in Queensland is around 5.30pm'ish so it'll cool down.Once the washing is done I'll head off to Glasgow. I've a couple of things to go to a CS though I'm really dithering about one. A number of years ago an American friend gave me a beautiful wall hanging which she'd hand made. She returned to the US after her husband died and gave me it because I'd repeatedly admired it when visiting her. I'll probably not take it this time, it needs a bit more thinking about. As I've been writing the sun and blue sky have disappeared behind thick clouds and I can see rain coming over the sea.I hope that everyone is doing well, happy Sunday to all.9

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for starting us off. There is evidence of overnight rain here but it's now moved on and we have wall to wall blue sky and sunshine. Yesterday ended up a mix of all sorts and that pesky wind was back again.
GERS safe drive to Glasgow and have a wonderful holiday surrounded by family. As for the wall hanging, stop dithering and keep it! If you are having second thoughts before you have even parted with it you are bound to regret letting it go!
The front garden is back to it's usual sorry state so I think today a bit of tidying up will be needed. Where do all the blooming weeds come from!! Next spring I think I really need to think about having something done with it to make my life easier.(I think I remember saying that last year too!!)
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. SNOOZER did your purse ever turn up? Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Rain overnight and earlier this morning but it seems to be brightening up now. I have the bedding in the WM, hope to get it out to dry later.
Lovely day with DS1 yesterday, good to have a family day. The weather was glorious after a wet start so we went for a walk around the fields, nothing like children, sticks and muddy puddles! It was also good not to drive although it was tough going keeping the little one awake on the way home.
Have a safe journey Gers.
Happy weeding TA.
Hope you had a great day Izzy.
Thinking of you Nelski.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX9 -
Morning
Gorgeous day today but it didn't half chuck it down last night. Guess thats the best order of play
Went to see mum yesterday. She looks really frail but otherwise well. She tried to hoist her lunch on me (sandwich and soup) which of course I refused ...I know her tricks. Her mind wasnt the best either she told me she was at school and hadn't been ill at all! Ive learnt to go along with her now after a few years of arguing so we discussed her teachers.
Favourite day today its been a rotten week so today is a nothing day. I'll grab something easy out the freezer possibly some turkey slices with some baby pots and peas.
Have a good day all11 -
Hi everyone,
Hopefully Esben won't ruin my post today, he's happily playing atm. L, B and E are off to the zoo today so Steve and I are going to blitz the house, it's not too bad but his sister is coming tomorrow and we need to turn the sewing room back into a bedroom. Talking of tomorrow, it's the big day for Chris and Crystal when they meet their new little family member. Crystal was told she'd probably be early on the list so hopefully we'll have news by lunchtime.
Steve's sister will be staying until Friday but we don't have any plans as yet, it depends on Chris and Crystal really. I may try and surprise her with a visit to Windsor to see the coronation robes if we have time, she's a royal family fan. I must admit, I'd like to see the embroidery on the dress.
Gers, I know I said it yesterday but I hope you have safe travels and a special holiday.
Poppy, good to see you, just a hello is good.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning all
Slightly overcast here and set for the day I think, we are off out to lunch at a pub, it was my dads Birthday yesterday and my sisters today so we are going to his favourite pub and will raise a glass to him, so no cooking needed today will just have a sandwich or something for tea.
Made sone bread and butter pickles yesterday, well started on them, I need to finish them off this morning and put in jars, they are so tasty and we get through a lot of them.
The house needs a quick tidy before we go out and I have put a wash on which can be hung out before we go.
Nels I am glad mum looked well, hopefully they can get her to eat a bit xxx

Morning all, nice & sunny now but rained hard in the night. We have just come back from watching DGD play football in her new team, she 'transferred' earlier this summer and is now under the same club as DGS, but still different training and match days
The coach seems to have more idea than the previous club ones , & he said she did well.
After lunch we are going to see my ex SIL and her DH, we remained friends after she split from my DB, went to her 2nd wedding too.Not seen them since we went to Manchester for a meal & that was before Xmas so that'll be a nice change, they had a big extension done on their house that we haven't seen, DH will be interested to see that, so will I but not in a professional capacity like himSteak for tea when we get back so that'll be quick- I managed to get some flat iron steak from Morries, also got a £15 voucher off a £60 shop so that's coming tomorrow. Looks like my last shop online with them was in 2020!Poppy, it's good to hear from you, sorry you're not too good, lots of hugs xHope Mum is back at the home soon Nelski, glad you saw her & enjoy your chill day xGers- safe journey!Right I'd better go and get ready, hope it's a decent one for all of you x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon everyone
Little one stayed last night and was fast asleep by 7.30. She woke me about 5 this morning - 'Granny can you just swop sides with me...my side is wet?' At some point she'd got into my bed and wet the bed! I must admit I was a bit grumpy as I'd only changed my bed on Thursday - we both went into her bed...she talked and talked and talked! She's only been out of nappies at night for about a week, since she stopped needing her milk machine through the night...lucky granny haha
When we got up she kept saying 'I really didn't mean to do that you know'
Never mind the bedding is all on the line now.
Its windy again here but nice and sunny so I might have a potter in the garden. DD picked little one up at lunchtime so I've a quiet afternoon.
Gers - have a lovely time - it will be great for all of you to be together
Nelski - enjoy your day of doing nothing
Poppy lovely to 'see' you
Snoozer - exciting day for you tomorrow
Everyone...hope you all have a good day x8
