Hi everyone. I did the online submission for probate for my mum in early July and sent the documents they required. I have not had confirmation they have received the documents. When I looked back to the email they sent me at the time of submission they indicated it could be 14 days. Should I be worried that the documents have not arrived?

Thanks in anticipation

You don't usually get confirmation that they've received your document. They'll only contact you when either probate has been granted or if they need more info.
  • They do not acknowledge receipt of anything  which is a disgrace, especially after you send an important document like the original will.
I would love to know what happens if they lose the original will,  which I am sure must have occured at some time.
It is always a good idea to send by registered post which has to be signed for.

I didn't hear from them for 7 weeks. The whole system and service really is poor.

I checked that my document was received by tracking the recorded delivery.

Thanks everyone.  I actually had a email yesterday confirming that probate has been granted.  I feel relieved and blessed.  Less than 7 weeks from submission.
