Estate agent asking for proof of deposit in response to offer

We made an offer on a property and the estate agent has yet to confirm whether it's been accepted. They have, however, asked us to provide a proof of deposit (amongst other things like solicitor information and decision in principle).
Is this normal or can I just say that my solicitor can confirm the funds?
We actually had to supply the DIP to view the property.

Is there a question?
When we placed an offer we had to provide proof of funds. Likewise when people offered on our property they had to provide proof. If nobody provided proof it would be chaos when a couple of months down the line it was found out somewhere in the chain couldn’t afford it!!4 -
Thats quite normal.3

For once, agent doing something sensible...4

Yep normal especially of late when there has been so much demand for property, our house had multiple bids and the agent would only consider those who had proof of funds3

Yes I had to send proof of deposit and DIP.2

It's normal. Our agent qualified people financially before even allowing them to view (our property was in very high demand)

Our money is in several different accounts and statements aren’t always up to date. Will they accept screenshots with identifying names etc until the latest statements arrive?0

Your screenshots will be fine, if your offer is accepted you will eventually have to provide at least 3 months worth of statements re: your funds to your mortgage advisor and solicitor. That’s what I had to do anyway, my funds are all in one account which made it easier0

This is absolutely normal and well done to the EA for making checks! So many sales fall through because it comes to light that the buyer doesn't have a big enough deposit.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1
