Hi all
I am on the chat with virgin and I got an email three days ago to say contract is ending on the 13th September. The price will go up to 66 quid a month. But I got an email today to say next bill due out the 12th September is 63.10. this would go up from 37 quid.
They haven't even given us 40 days notice which I'm sure I've read they have to do.
Plus doesn't even give us the chance to give 30 days notice..
What can we do to avoid this higher charge.
Thank you

Are you sure you have not received an email that you may have missed? I'm with VM and I have received emails before they throw the price up - well in advance of contract end date.0

Very odd but ok. Not sure where you got the 40 days from though. Are you wanting to stay with VM firstly? I know not at that price but are you wanting to change your provider now? You must have had some promotional deals which bought the price down - check your contract, so those promos have come to an end hence the rise in price. Have you called them to see what new deals they are willing to offer you in order to retain you as a customer?0

It's between 10 & 40 days before it ends they should contact you not a strict 40 days0

Put your cancellation in and you should get a call back with a decent offer. That’s if you want to stay. Make sure your marketing preferences are set so they can contact you. They may even offer you deal on the phone to cancel that you may think is ok for you. Either way, call them0
