New build timeline

Hey people who are buying have bought a new build. 

Once house was weather proof/1st fix electrics done- how long until it was done after this?

our house is going to be weatherproof in 2 weeks and they are saying December estimate.

Whatever they tell you as a estimate, push that forward a few months. I don't think many newbuilds are on time at the moment. My sister has Feb 2022 as an estimate... she is still waiting for a date to move in and will be lucky if its this year.

Both conversion new builds and happened in the middle-of-the-road covid and lockdowns

1. Estimated completion - August 2020, Actual completion - April 2021.

2. Estimated completion - 2018(?), Actual completion - 2022(?)

I cannot comment on our new build as it was 'completed' when we bought it (although they are going to have to come and finish several rooms again.

We had friends who moved in only 2 months after estimated completion due to covid, which seemed very quick.

Our son and daughter-in-law,at the point of reservation were given an estimated build completion of (I think) October 21.
This was revised in the November to February/March 2022 due to a number of external factors having a knock on effect across the development.
Finally managed to complete early June this year.
