Esben deleted my long post so I will just say have a wonderful day Izzy and safe travels to Gers, I'm looking forward to the tales of your adventures,

Gers

Thanks all - I don't fly until Monday though I'm going to Glasgow tomorrow for an overnight stay with my friend Alan. I'm leaving my car in his driveway whilst I'm away.  My main suitcase is finally packed, I'm even taking a packet of covid tests with me. Oldest nephew and family are already on their way so I'm already very happy.  I'm paying for everyone to come together, it's something which my late mother was very keen to happen and her flat made a good profit so now we can all enjoy ourselves. With nine adults and between six and nine children it may well be ongoing chaos - but it's only for a short time.  Once it's done, it's done!

The weather here has improved somewhat, it's still very blustery but the rain has stopped. Still can't cut the grass which is annoying.  Whilst I'm away there will be builders sorting out some damp and also a landscaping company sorting out the mess in the front 'garden'. They'll lift the horrible bark and membrane, put down some hardcore, membrane and then gravel on top. They're also erecting a small triangle of decking and then enlarging the very small slabbed patio area at the back of the back garden. I'm so glad that I won't be here for all this work.

on annual leave but everyone around me is negative, dm not well and ds2 struggling again. trying to stay positive though.
