NatWest/RBS Changing account nicknames

For many months, if not years, the NatWest/RBS facility to change your account names has been suspended. It remains suspended within online banking but is now available in their app.

They are calling it "Create a nickname" and this is in the Account settings. Bear in mind that to activate a change you need to set up face recognition. Once changed, the nickname also appears on the account summary page in online banking. This also affects the order in which they appear, which is alphabetical.

Regarding nicknames, I have noticed that the Payee List now shows both the payees name and the "Payee Nickname", which is the name that you assign to it upon creation.
