Travel Insurance

I'm waiting for a call back (thought broker would know answer straight away) but wondered if anyone here perhaps knows.    I have been quoted a price for a couple, single trip to Europe however, buying 2 of the same policy, as individual travellers, is a fair amount cheaper than for a couple.
Q - do we HAVE to buy as a coup!e or can we travel together on identical individual policies?

You can hold individual policies if its cheaper, which would be unusual but if it is it is. Obviously this means in the event of a claim having to submit two claim forms etc etc
  • Thank you - tbh, I couldn't see why we couldn't but it's nice having it confirmed.

The risks of cancellation costs, repatriation costs, emergency flights etc. are higher for a couple than a single traveller.

If you are traveling together but insured as individuals if one of you takes ill then the other will not get the insurance picking up their costs if they have to stay with the injured party.
