Bosch washing machine tripping electric

If you set it to rinse and spin cycle and then deselect 'acqua plus', it should drain and spin only.rothchick said:
I only have a rinse, spin and drain option! Next washing machine I buy I will make sure there is a spin and drain option as this is very annoying!molerat saidIf it only happens during water heating there is a possibility moving it on to a drain and spin cycle will work OK.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you, I managed to run a rinse, spin and drain cycle. I think because there was water in, it didn’t add any more and just drained so I switched it off as soon as it drained. Phew! Got someone coming out next week to see if it’s fixable. I’d rather fix and not add to the landfill! Thanks again to all of you for your help with my question.I love a bargain and saving money! Hi,how did you stop it tripping?0

It won’t trip as it isn’t calling for heat, therefore the element isn’t energised, the fact that it has spun, and the door has locked means that this part of the circuit is ok, and, as it filled with water that means the water valve isn’t causing it to trip, This isfrugalmacdugal said:Hi,how did you stop it tripping?
a classic heating element symptom, it could be something else, a wire could have burnt the connector and be touching the metal part of the drum, or even the earth connector, but I would go with the element, shouldn’t be too expensive to fix1 -
Good result! Fixed by a local repair person?rothchick said:@grumbler changed the label from shower to washing machine now 😀
Machine fixed and working. It was the heating element. Cost £85 to fixI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I had a similar fault in my Beko washing machine a few years ago. I traced it to a faulty motor. A reconditioned motor cost only £30 and actually was quite easy to fit. However I would check if the motor brushes are worn, as I believe, that can cause the same fault. New brushes only cost a few pounds and are very easy to fit.0

When it tripped it only tripped that plug and the one directly above it (used for kettle and coffee maker) - shall I mark washing machine and kitchen?grumbler said:I love a bargain and saving money! I don't have any debts and mortgage repaid in 20200
