So today I get an email saying they're increasing the interest rate from 1.25. to 1.75% from the 15 August 2022 on the Online Saver (Nb) Issue 7 Annual.

I can't find anywhere what the maximum amount I can save and if there is a monthly deposit limit. Does anyone know?

Also when I login to the account (I've only got £11 in there at the mo) it shows the interest rate as 1.15%, which doesn't match either of the information above. Is it me or is it a mess?

If you read the email again you will see it says:

On Thursday 4 August, the Bank of England increased the base rate from 1.25% to 1.75%. Most of our accounts don’t directly track the Bank of England base rate, but as part of our commitment to long term good value for our members, we’ve applied interest rate increases to many of our variable savings accounts.

    What this means for you

We’re pleased to say that from 15 August 2022 we've increased the interest rate on your Online Saver (Nb) Issue 7 Annual.

To find out your new interest rate, simply view your account online or on the Skipton app. Alternatively you can visit our website to find out more

Interest rate for Skipton Online Saver NB issue7 is 1.15%. Not available to new applicants now. This is a poor interest rate for instant access accounts so not worth having more than a £1 in it. Useful for making Debit Card deposits into it.

Thanks. I see the amount I could deposit would be £4,999,989. Bit of room for manoeuvre then.

Got the same email and got excited until I logged in to find the 1.15%. Yes, left open with a minimal balance in case Skipton board find their moral compass about savings rates. They, along with the boards of other BS's want sacking.
  • Skipton's Easy Access Saver is higher than the Online 7 atm, paying 1.39%

I have £1 in both and is purely used as part of my Halifax Rewards grabbing protfolio
