Short term unoccupied property

Could someone recommend a company that does short term unoccupied property insurance please? We are going away for three months and our house insurance policy only allows 60 days un occupancy and after a phone call to them have no suggestions other than get someone to move in! I’m either needing to find a new insurer who will offer 90 days or buy a stand along for this period. I did say a family member usually comes to stay the odd weekend but that was not enough to stop our property being unoccupied. Thank you.

Not aware of any short term, you'd be looking at an annual policy that you cancel early, just be careful about understanding the cancellation fees in particular as most are sold via brokers and this can mean you have both an insurer and broker set of fees to pay.
There are a number of insures that offer 90 day terms on standard home insurance (eg M&S) so a case of also exploring how much to cancel your existing policy and replace it with another.0 -
Thank you so much, we will have to cancel the policy we have, at a cost of £35 but that’s what their terms are. I had tried to find regular policies with 90 days and even though that was what I put in the compare websites non gave more than 60 days so to find the m and s one has saved me a lot of time and expense of a stand alone policy of three months.0
