Bed bugs found at apartment

Hi,
This is my first post so sorry ahead of any posting rule breaking. 😬
I paid for an apartment through Booking.com in Bath for 3 nights. After the first night I woke up covered in red marks which looked like I’d been bitten. I’ve had a bad experience with bed bugs years ago so immediately recognised the bite marks and reaction I had.

I paid for an apartment through Booking.com in Bath for 3 nights. After the first night I woke up covered in red marks which looked like I’d been bitten. I’ve had a bad experience with bed bugs years ago so immediately recognised the bite marks and reaction I had.
I thoroughly checked the sheets and pulled back the cover and found 3 bed bugs walking around. I killed one and from the fresh blood I could tell they had been biting me. There wasn’t any significant markings on the mattress itself so I think the infestation was relatively new.
I then woke up the rest of the family in the other room and they checked their beds and found 2-3 bugs only on one bed and then we saw another on the windowsill! I took pictures.
We send it across to the property via the booking.com app and we’re advised to checkout immediately which we did. We had to find alternative accommodation ourselves but only managed to do so for one night.
The properly management firm are refusing to refund as they sent pest control 2 days later (from what the report date indicates) and pest control didn’t find any bed bugs.
What are my rights? There definitely were bugs when i was there as I have the photos and bite marks! Booking.com are saying they can give me 15% compensation as a good will gesture but I don’t see how this is even sufficient especially considering the property told me to check out and I wasn’t able to stay the full time not that I would have wanted to either!
Many thanks everyone. And sorry for the length of the post.

By booking through a 3rd party it makes it difficult.
I'm guessing you don't have a contact number for the owner? Bit late now but you really needed someone to witness the bugs.
Do your photos show the location couldn't be anywhere else but that apartment?
Have you taken care with your suitcases and clothes?I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
