Do you think I could do these in aluminium trays instead of the silicon ones?
Just line with clingfilm and it works fine :)
  • Hey, i did icecube trays a while back, we had a jigsaw piece one so i melted them all then put them together for my grandad with a note saying
"This one wont take you long..."

Ive also tried layering the chocolate by doing one colour (say white) then letting it start to set and then doing the next, milk, letting it set a bit then then dark these do look fantastic in square icecube trays, and then i got adventurous by putting the tray at an angle so all the layers were differnt sizes.

Also try putting a malteser in the middle for some added crunch!

I'd put up pics but ive already given them to people lol, but i will make some more possibly later! off to the shop for supplies. :]

i guess you'd put the two side by side, avoiding mixing as much as possible, then use something very fine (sich as a cocktail stick) to draw swirl through the chocolate.

experimentation is the way forward there me thinks

thanks pav will give it a whirl !

tonight is the night ,ive bought all ingredients this morning

pics to follow ........... maybe if they turn out ok :o
  • Ooh another litle idea which im going to try later is find an advent calender with white chocolate and place all the little chocolates on a slab of milk chocolate :]

    That's a good idea.
