They look fantastic, she's done an amazing job!" Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending. "0

wonders if you have to let the choccie set a little before putting the toppings on or do I just bung em on straight away
They look great, like them posh hotel chocolate things :j
Well done little quackers
Hello you
she says let it set a little.
She put them on almost straight away and some of the smarties 'sunk'
xxSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I thought they might "sunk" (well ok, I didn't have a clue really!)

I was thinking of baking up a batch of gingerbread people and then personalising them to suit the receiver. Anyone got any good recipes for gingerbread?0

You have a Willy Wonker in the making!
see, I'm finding that really funny.
Because she's 13 going on 24 so when I tell her that she will do this >and walk away.
You're right though.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

Shes done a lovely job
and I'm sure they're going to love them.
Thank you for posting this as I brought a silicone tray specially for my daughters/me to use way back in October (after seeing a thread on here about choccie slabs last christmas) and forgot all about it
mmmmmmmmm I'm going to make a flake and malteser one for my sister
one drizzled with white chocolate and dark choccie for my dad
and a dried fruit/cranberry and nut one for my oh
and uummmm which one for me ?
If you're after ideas to make for "grown ups" take a look here
http://www.camaya.co.uk/slabs/index.shtml
I googled and got lots of ideas....strawberries, bananas, honeycomb etc etc.
In a past thread on chocolate slabs people have made them in baking trays after putting in a clingfilm lining, and this was successful too if you havent a silicone tray.
Thanks again0
